In addition to uploading your own content to your MDID installation at vrcHost, you may seamlessly access purchased or subscribed content from any of the vendors below – it will be available in your hosted MDID3 installation without any additional work for you.

How it works

  1. You upload your own local content into your installation, or let vrcHost do it for you
  2. You purchase or subscribe to images from any of the vendors below, either directly through the vendor or through vrcHost
  3. The vendor approves your transaction and releases the images for your hosted MDID3 installation
  4. The new content is seamlessly available next to any of your own!

Available Vendors

Archivision Currently 72,000 professional images with rich, standard metadata for teaching and scholarship in architecture and the visual arts.
Scholars Resource 275,000 images from 13 prominent image vendors and museums combine to document our common humanity and environment. All images are copyrighted and require a site license; fees are low and one-time. Over 200 Image Sets are available at
The Saskia Library encompasses 34,000 images specifically photographed on site to teach art history and the humanities. Core art history images include works from over one hundred museums,, including the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Uffizi, the Prado, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the National Museums in Athens, Rome and Stockholm, museums in Berlin, the Metropolitan Museum in New York, and museums in Cleveland and San Francisco.
